Any third wave (or any wave, for that matter) feminists care to comment?

  1. Hmm-m, not sure about 3rd wave feminism etc….but, there are WAY better versions of this story. Why include the elements of the chicks and their care? Why the details in the making of the bread–cutting the dough etc. These points don’t add to the story or add to the moral and humor of the story about hard work and rewards. I wouldn’t use this with kids. There are better options–if this is the only ‘electonic’ option being considered…I’d just use a hardcover book!

  2. Agreed on all counts, Lorie!

  3. Loving the nostalgic looks at the “technology” of yesterday. My grandmother actually had read-along records that my brother and I used to play, and I had quite a few read-along cassettes as a kid.

  4. Ah, the “technology” of the 70s. My brother and I would listen to read-along records over and over at my grandmother’s house.
