Getting Ready for Rancho!
Carisa Kluver and I are embarking on another new media storytime pilot project with the City of Rancho Cucamonga Library (winner of the 2013 National Medal for Museum and Library Service). They’ve got their iPads, we’re figuring out settings and cases, and we start training intensively next month. I said I’d put together a list of a few apps the librarians can start playing around with to get an idea for what book-based, content-creation and all-round-high-quality apps can look like. So here you go, Rancho storytellers! See what you think about these apps:
Boynton 4-pack
Byron Barton Collection 1
Endless ABC
Felt Board App
Four Little Corners
Hairy Maclary from Donaldson’s Dairy
Mother Goose on the Loose App
Sock puppets
Wee Sing ABC
Thanks for sharing r places as far as iPad/apps go. We recently purchased an iPad for our small rural library, and it’s very helpful to have your guidance for apps and also using iPads for storytimes and events at the library.
