Little eLit’s Amy Koester Popped-Up a Guerilla Storytime at Opening Minds
We’ve had a few busy couple of weeks. First it was ALA Midwinter in Philadelphia, and then 3 intrepid LittleeLiters (Cen Campbell, Betsy Diamant-Cohen & Amy Koester) headed over to Chicago to represent Little eLit as a finalist in the Opening Minds Innovation Award. ECRR2 won, which we were thrilled about (keep in mind that it was an early childhood conference, not a library conference, and not only were two librarian groups finalists for the award, one of them took the prize home!!!)
After the showcase, however, things got a little wacky. We conscripted the support of our friends at Follett Early Learning and completely took over their booth to do an impromptu pop-up Guerrilla Storytime, led by the amazing and fantastic Amy Koester, who posted about the event on Storytime Underground.
Here’s my slightly tardy capture of Amy’s intro:
And here’s Amy showing off how she uses Peek-a-Zoo: Toddler Peekaboo at the Zoo. (Note to Treebetty: We’d like a tiger, please!)
