New Year’s Joint Media Engagement
A friend of mine posted this photo on Facebook with the following caption:
Special mother and daughter time bathed in the glow of a smartphone’s LCD — watching Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood with Rowena Chiu at Sardine Factory.
I asked permission to post this photo because it’s a PERFECT depiction of joint media engagement (with passive media, no less!) Here was mom’s response about what they were doing:
The waiter was slow about bringing the food. It was getting late and Zoe-Beth was hungry and tired. So, I used a bit of Daniel Tiger to distract her. Ironically, it was the segment about counting to 4 when you get so mad you want to roar. She likes to sing the jingles and we often tease her about her love of the tiger.
